On September 30th, Jinzhou Medical University held the opening ceremony for the 2024 freshmen. Principal Wen Deliang, President Qu Wei, university leaders, heads of schools and relevant departments as well as counselors attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Vice-president Zhong Hongshan.
The opening ceremony began with the solemn national anthem. At the ceremony, university leaders presented the JZMU badge to the freshmen and awarded flags to schools.
Wang Runze, a 2024 student majoring in Clinical Medicine at the Third Clinical Medical School, delivered a speech on behalf of all new students. He first expressed his sincerest gratitude on behalf of all the freshmen to JZMU. He reviewed the wonderful life he had when he first joined JZMU and shared his originality of studying medicine to serve the society.
Zhao Shuo, a postgraduate student, as a representative shared valuable learning experience with the freshmen. She shared her story of studying and growing up at JZMU, hoping that everyone can experience the dual growth of knowledge and soul like her.
Professor Liu Chunna, a renowned teacher in Liaoning Province, the leader of the Pharmacology discipline at the School of Basic Medicine and the director of the Pharmacology Teaching and Research Office, delivered a speech on behalf of all teachers. She hoped that students could have faith in their hearts to study hard, to be brave in innovation, to take saving lives and helping the injured as their own responsibility.
Qu Wei, on behalf of Principal Wen Deliang and all faculty and staff extended warm congratulations to the new students of 2024 who have finally fulfilled their dream in university through unremitting efforts! He hoped that students would firmly uphold their ideals and beliefs from the moment they wear the emblem of JZMU, closely integrate personal learning with the future and destiny of the country and the needs of social development, and cultivate good study habits and lifelong learning abilities. He also welcomed the arrival of the 2024 international students, hoping that they can truly integrate into the harmonious, inclusive, open, and cultural atmosphere of the university, tell the good stories of China, build new bridges of friendship, and hand draw a better tomorrow!
