The School of International Education (SIE) was founded in 2005. It is responsible for the enrollment and administration of students in bachelor and master programs as well as in short-term programs.
The SIE began to recruit international students in 1997.In 2012, Jinzhou Medical University gained approval by the Ministry of Education as a qualified institution for Clinical Medicine Education in China. In 2014, the university was officially listed by the Ministry of Education as one of the universities accepting Chinese Government Scholarship for International students in China. Now the university has engaged in the Belt and Road strategy, thus the total number of recruitment countries has reached 80, and over 2000 international students have registered to date.
There are five offices in the school, namely General Administrative Office, Office of Academic Affairs, Admission Office, Office of International Student Administration and Accommodation Office, which provide all the academically related services to students from entrance to graduation including the supervision of the teaching quality, the implementation of teaching affairs, the management of examinations, student status, internship and teaching materials, among others.
Besides that, we have a Chinese Language Teaching Center. It undertakes Chinese language teaching for international students. It consists of four teaching offices which are responsible for comprehensive Chinese, spoken Chinese and Chinese listening, China Panorama and Chinese culture and, Medical Chinese courses respectively. Jinzhou Medical University hosts an Internet-based test center for the HSK examination (Chinese proficiency test) and the Chinese Language Teaching Center provides the relevant HSK training courses.
